Are you afraid of miracles thinking that you may be deceived?

There is an anointing in the Old Testament flowing through the body of a man of God even after his death.

2 Kings 13:21 So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.

There is an anointing in the New Testament flowing through the objects used by a man of God.

Acts 19:12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

God has not changed.  God can use anyone in any fashion, do not limit God with your theology and ideology, just be available.  If God is using you, be careful not to commercialize.  Always find a balance where God’s Word takes the pre-eminence than anything you do and let God take the honor than you.

I have trouble when someone comes to a conclusion quoting scriptures those are in favor of them.

If you say, miracles have ceased at the time of the apostles, then explain to me, what Jesus said in John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

If you say, miracles and spiritual gifts are no more, tell me how do you deliver a demon possessed who comes to you for deliverance, how do you pray for one under addiction and depression? Again, explain to me Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Deception comes when you take part of a scripture to an extreme.  When you overdo than what God expects you to do.  When you are bound within boundaries of Christian denomination and tradition.   Keep God’s Word as your reference, not what your pastor or your favorite preacher is telling or doing.  Always strike a balance and keep your attitude and intent right with God and with man.
