Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat.

Thought for the day: This is the right time for you to shout. It is enough keeping your emotions and crying within you. The devil around you doesn’t really know who you are. It is time to breakout with a shout of praise and a shout of joy to let the devil know that you are here. It all happened when people shouted with a great shout. It will happen when you do the same now. Unexpected things will happen, the impossible will become possible, devil will scream and run out, mountains will move, walls will fall trembling down, the most wicked will turn towards God, tumors will disappear, cancer will be healed, heart condition will be made alright, arthritis will be gone, lame will walk, blind will see and the deaf will hear in the name of Jesus.

Verse of the day: 1 Corinthians 4:12-13 We work hard with our own hands for our food. When people curse us, we bless them. When they hurt us, we put up with it. When they tell evil lies about us, we speak nice words about them. Even today, we are treated as though we were the garbage of the world—the filth of the earth.

Thought for the day: It is the anguish of many of you today that you are not recognized for what you do. Moment your value is understood, you are exploited and stressed beyond the limit. At times you feel that you are completely drained out, used up like a mopping cloth and thrown away. The words spoken against you, the stories cooked up to spoil your name, the discrimination shown towards you, someone being recognized for what you did spring up fresh in your mind and torture you day and night. If you are a child of God, you need to understand one thing. What else can you expect this world to offer you? If you are in this situation today, you need to know that the favor of God is deep in you. Don’t worry about what the world is offering you, keep moving forward. It is not just you alone, not just Paul the Apostle, many others walked in this path including our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse of the day: Proverbs 20:6 Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man?

Thought for the day: How faithful are we in everything we do for God? A prayer without burden is like a ball bouncing at the wall. Not serving the Lord out of love is a religious slavery. Worshipping the Lord with no reverence is a religious entertainment. Singing without real joy is like a child reciting a poem. Preaching without practicing is like a mimicry talent show. Teaching without studying is like news read in the FM station. Not what we do, but why we do is important. It is not the impression we make, but the intention of our heart that counts.

Verse of the day: Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

Thought for the day: Any complication that a human body can have is either associated with the bone or with the flesh. God had created man in perfect health. That perfect health was lost as sin entered along with the subsequent curse from the Lord. The only way to regain the required health is by pleasing the Lord as the curse was broken at the cross. May be not boasting about what we have and what we know, rather humbling ourselves before the Lord, serving Him with fear and trembling and keeping away from evil. Any health plan, diet plan and fitness program can help only if this basic condition is satisfied. Only the Lords favor upon us can save us from the unexpected adverse events in our life.

Verse of the day: John 14:18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Thought for the day: Orphans are generally children without living parents to care for them. What it means to be an orphan may not be known to many of us as we always live or lived with our parents under their care. When all the other children go to the park and to the shopping mall with their parents, orphans have no means of having that joyous experience. Their lifestyle is totally different from the rest as there is no one to care for them. Children of God, even though they have their earthly parents, they are considered and treated as orphans in this earth as their Father is in heaven. Not only the disciples, even many of those who sacrificed their lives for the Gospel are considered as orphans in this earth as they never got the comfort, love and care from this earth. This may be true in your life too. Do you have the feeling of left alone (orphan) as you belong to Christ and He belongs to you. Jesus is telling you that He will not leave you as orphan forever; He will come back and take you home. The joy, the pleasure, the comfort and all that you failed to enjoy in this world are there for you in your Father’s house.
