Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

Thought for the day: Often we find ourselves helpless even though we have enough wealth to achieve what we are eager to achieve. Money can help up to a limit and it becomes useless beyond. But often people don’t realize this fact and continue to seek after wealth, not paying attention to what they really need. Become like this lame man who is sitting at the gate of the temple thinking that all that he needs is silver and gold. Peter realized that his need is much more than what money could do and be met only by the name of Jesus. Imagine what difference the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth would have made in the lame man who was walking, leaping, and praising God. It all depends on what it means to us today when we close our eyes and whisper the same name “Jesus Christ of Nazareth”.

Verse of the day: Daniel 12:3 those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

Thought for the day: God reserves a special blessing for those who turn lives to righteousness. One person turning from the wickedness to righteousness is so precious to our Father. He leaves the ninety-nine sheep and goes after the one lost sheep. You may not be able to deliver eloquent speech, but you tell others what God has done for you. You may not be able to bring down fire from heaven, but you listen to the cry of their heart and pray with them. You may not be able to heal them instantly, but you speak the Word of faith into their lives and that brings healing. God is telling you that you are like a star in the sky as blessed, shines always, energetic and powerful as you turn lives to righteousness. You are so precious to Him.

Verse of the day: Job 9:25 “My days are swifter than a runner; they fly away without a glimpse of joy.

Thought for the day: We remember the beginning of this year, but now we are already in the fourth quarter of this year. The days go away from us like the runner runs away as we watch him. Let us do whatever we need to do now so that we may not regret when the time is gone. Remember anything we gain on this earth will perish one day, except what we gain for God. We are given limited time and limited options on this earth till we are gone from here. We need to set our priorities now so that we will not go from here dissatisfied.

Verse of the day: Exodus 19:23 But Moses said to the LORD, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’”

Thought for the day: Every family has to declare a “sin free zone” around them. You need to set boundaries around your home for sin not to enter. A home where sin is found is a house with no roof and vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. The devil has nothing to do with a child of God who is free of sin. Sin can enter into the family through any member of the family. Don’t be gentle and pleasing while dealing with sin. Be bold and tough to resist sin from around your dwelling. Set the sign posts of Word of God and the Blood of Jesus around your family so that everyone knows it is a “sin free zone” including the devil himself.

Verse of the day: Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Thought for the day: Lotus, what an amazing creation of God! But it talks much more than what it is. Our life on this earth is like a stranger and a pilgrim. Even though we live in this earth, we don’t belong to this earth. We need to be careful not to spoil our lives with the worldly things. Lotus grows in water, lives in water but yet not stained by water. Such is the life of a child of God on this earth. Keep your life fresh and pure to live another life that is eternal with the Lord.
