Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

Thought for the day: Where is our faith today? We are not sure how much this centurion knew about Jesus. But we see his faith in action. He spoke what he believed. Faith becomes reality when we declare what God can do for us. When the situation makes you to lose your hope, speak into the situation and confess what God can do to turn it upside down. The confession made by the centurion resulted in Jesus declaring healing to the servant. There are many miracles happened in the Bible and even today when words of faith are spoken. Try this out in your daily life not for personal gain, but to glorify God.

Verse of the day: Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Thought for the day: Never stop doing anything that you have once started in God’s kingdom. It doesn’t matter how small it is. God wants us to move forward. Things will easily slip away if we are not serious in business. When situation changes, sickness strikes and financial struggles come in your way, the first thing that gets affected is God’s work. You will be amazed to see the rest continuing except God’s work. God is zealous in accomplishing what we are committed with. There is nothing like “turning back” in God’s kingdom. The above verse clearly says that He doesn’t want anyone with such attitude in His kingdom. We need to progress every day; it doesn’t matter even if it is inch by inch. But there is no question of looking back. Let us revive those areas in our lives they were alive at some point of time but now dead.

Verse of the day: Luke 12:6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

Thought for the day: One denarius is estimated to be around USD 20. One copper coin is 1/16 of a denarius. Therefore one copper coin can be approximated to USD 1.25. According to the above passage, five sparrows sold for two copper coins. The value of a sparrow can be approximated to 50 cents. Jesus was trying to impress upon the fact that if a sparrow worth of 50 cents is not forgotten by God, how much more precious you and me to Him. The very fact that God cares for us encourages you and me to continue our race on this earth.

Verse of the day: Psalm 104:32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.

Thought for the day: Our God is an awesome and powerful God. No one could stand before Him at his wrath. He is a merciful father and in the same time He is a consuming fire. He said to Moses, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” His very look causes earthquake and with His touch the hills smoke. But you and I could call him “Abba Father”. What a mighty God we server. He is worthy of all our praises and worship. Let us worship Him right now.

Verse of the day: John 8:51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

Thought for the day: Fear of death is one of the most influential fear factors in anyone’s life. It doesn’t care if you are in the cradle or in the death bed. Even a small sickness can easily causes that fear in us. Jesus said if you keep My word, you shall never see death. Moment Jews heard this they said Jesus has a demon. They did not know Jesus is talking about eternal life. A true child of God, who lives according to the Word of God, has no fear of death. Today you and I need that assurance of eternal life. We get that assurance depending on how closely we follow God’s word.
