Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Thought for the day: Our Christian life on earth is a walk by faith. We believe what we hear, what we read and walk accordingly. Many truths are written as a shadow of what is yet to come. But still we trust and follow. You may not see the result of what you do for Him today. You may think that you are walking in this earth as a stranger and pilgrim. You may say that I have lost everything for Christ. Losing your family, friends and running away from the pleasures of this world are considered as loss in this world. But never give up; keep walking as you walked before. Hold on to the little faith you have, little idea you have about God and heaven, the little glimpse of what you believe and be encouraged by the scattered results that you could see in your ministry. One day you are going to see Him face to face. You will see the reward of all that you did for Christ and all that you lost for His name sake.

Verse of the day: Psalms 63:6 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.

Thought for the day: Many of us complain about not getting proper sleep in the night. When we wake up in the middle of our sleep, we struggle hours together to go back to sleep and eventually get disappointed as it is already dawn. Moment we are awake in the night, the troubles and the challenges of our life rush into our mind and soon fear the terror grip our heart. We feel our heart is heavy, mind is busy and we are fully awake. Some of us even scream in the middle of our sleep due to nightmare that causes stress and depression during the day. But listen to what David says, He says he meditates God in the night watches. Moment a child of God wakes up while sleeping, he or she has to meditate God. It is really hard to gain control of our mind at that time. But try meditating the grace of God, the love of God, the precious salvation that he purchased for you, His sufferings on the cross, His resurrection, His triumphant appearance on the clouds, the eternal life with God, etc. You will find your night is pleasant, your sleep is sound and no more nightmare, bad dream and scream.

Verse of the day: Psalm 69:1 Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.

Thought for the day: Not every problem troubles us so much. But there are times we feel we are sinking and the waters are already up to the neck. Few more inches of raise will make us sink and we are no more. We look around for help and find none. Every human in this world faces this situation whether he or she likes it or not. What should we do when we are in such a situation? For a moment our faith is shattered and the fear of death grips us rock hard. But still there is hope when we call upon His name as David did. How? We don’t know. A rope may be dropped for you to hold on, the waters around you may dry out, someone may come and carry you in His shoulder or an unknown hand may be stretched towards you. All that you need is help and you will get it.

Verse of the day: Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

Thought for the day: This verse is talking about the generational blessing God has ordained for the righteous. Being righteous pays us back before our eyes. I have heard people saying this man or woman is so blessed because his or her dad was a man of God. Being righteous not only guarantees escape from hell, but also blesses our descendants. Today whether we save for our children or not, let us earn righteousness as it is going to take care of our children not really our savings. Righteousness is shunning away from sin and walking with an upright heart before the Lord.

Verse of the day: Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

Thought for the day: Faith is an integral part of Christian life. Most of the time we think faith is required only for miracles, healing and
deliverance. No, that is not true. Most of God’s work in human life
is internal. When man responds to the internal move of God and acts in faith, others can see the evidence of God’s work in and through him.
Without faith there is no salvation. Without faith there is no sanctification. Without faith we can never be called righteous. Without faith there is no guarantee that our prayer will be answered. Without faith there is no hope that we will see Jesus again. Without faith there is no life after death. Today, if we try to achieve everything by our own strength, without operating in faith, we limit the work of God in and through our lives. Remember everything is by faith, not by our own strength, not by our own intelligent, and not by our own righteousness.
