Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Thought for the day: Have you ever wondered looking at the sun generating such immense energy? Have you ever wondered gazing upon the night sky? Have you ever wondered standing in the shore seeing the vastness of the sea? Have you ever wondered watching the birds on the tree, how happy and stress free they are? Have you ever wondered observing a plant to see how it draws the sap through the stem and distributes it to the rest of the plant? Have you ever wondered observing the movement of a baby in mother’s belly? Have you ever wondered observing the baby chick hatching from the egg? Have you ever wondered how the migrating birds know the season, timing and the location?

More than all these, the greatest wonder ever known is, “the creator of the universe withdrew himself out of His Glory, came down to this earth and gave himself at the hands of His creation to be crucified for you and for me”.

Verse of the day: Proverbs 6:22 When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; and when you awake, they will speak with you.

Thought for the day: When I felt like giving up, I heard a voice saying, “Don’t give up”. When I realized that I messed it up, I heard the same voice saying, “You made it”. When I fell down again and again, I heard someone telling me to get up and run. When I said this is the end of it, I heard someone saying “this is just the beginning”. When I hid behind my excuses, I heard the same voice telling me, “I found you”. When I felt I am neglected, I heard someone saying, “I need you”. When I was not pleased with myself, I heard someone saying, “I am well pleased in you”. When I stood still without knowing the next move, I heard someone saying, “Follow me”. Now I realize the reason I could stand today is only because of that ever encouraging voice of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Verse of the day: Jeremiah 32:17 Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

Thought for the day: Our God is a maker of the heaven and earth. How wonderfully he established the heavens and placed stars in the sky and calls them by name! What an amazing creation is mankind! We don’t know how amazingly a child is formed in mother’s womb. He is such an omnipotent and omniscient God. You think your problem is the toughest one to be solved. You looked at the complexity of the issue and you already came to a decision that there is no solution for your problem. I agree with you if you had not known the Lord. But you know the Lord already. If not, I introduce Him to you as the one who says, “There is nothing too hard for me to resolve”. Today as you get introduced to your maker, His arm is stretched towards you. All that you need to do is call upon His name. His name is Jesus. He is there standing right next to you to make the impossible happen in your life.

Verse of the day: Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Thought for the day: What an encouraging words these are! Our heart is so feeble that it cannot handle so much of burden that we try to handle at times. How many times we say that our heart is so heavy and burdened with something that cannot be told to anyone. Family situation, work related pressures, health issues, fear concerning future cause so much of stress to our heart and make it weak. A weak heart can be strengthened only by our heavenly physician, Jehovah Rapha. If you trust Him today, He will strengthen your heart. A heart strengthened by Him will boldly face any adverse situation. Anything that was bothering you till now will no more bother you. Come to Jesus to receive such courage to overcome all that rage against you.

Verse of the day: Revelation 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Thought for the day: Today, a Canadian Press report says, “ A record-breaking heat wave has enveloped Canada’s most populous corridor with a mixture of scorching sun and stifling haze that has proven fatal farther south.“ But my Bible says in Revelation 21:8 “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Many of us today struggle to handle the heat of 100°F. Think of the lake of fire and brimstone. Brimstone is sulphur. In order for sulphur to form a lake, its temperature must be below or at 832 °F, the boiling point of sulphur. We may be summer safe, but we cannot be safe in the lake of fire. Only way to be safe is to escape from that. Not everyone can escape, according to Revelation 20:15, only whose names are written in the Book of Life. You may be summer safe, but are you fire lake safe?
