Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Proverbs 3:26 For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.

Thought for the day: Many times we do things without knowing what it is. We take decisions without knowing where we will end up. We trust people without knowing who they are. We walk in ways without knowin…g where the trap is set. We easily get caught in many situations and struggle without knowing what to do. It may be in our work place, in our business, among friends, within our own family, we need to take certain care in order to escape these snares. Even the enemy, the devil spreads his net as a fowler and wait for someone to fall in his trap. Quite often, even after taking decisions to live for God, how easily we fall into the traps of the enemy. How easily he entices and takes us away from God and won’t allow us to return until we realize our desperate situation and ask for God’s help. By facing all these failures and falling in the trap again and again, we lose confidence in us and are afraid to take decisions that are essential for our progress. Are you in such a situation today? God is telling you that He will be your confidence and He will keep you away from being caught. Take those steps of faith boldly with the help of God as He is your confidence.

Verse of the day: Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

Thought for the day: No one really taught or trained the animals in the forest or birds of the air to hide from trouble. It is an instinct within every creature seen soon after their birth. This sense of need for protection is very much required for every child of God. There are four important aspects we need to be aware of.
1. There are days of trouble.
2. There are shelters available for protection.
3. God has promised us to hide us within the shelter.
4. His hiding place is a secret place even our adversary the devil will not have a clue of it.
God has a solution for every issue that you are dealing with. It is nowhere else, but hidden in the Word of God. Ask the Spirit of God to mine it for you.

Verse of the day: Psalm 107:22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.

Thought for the day: Animal sacrifice was one of the Old Testament ceremonies. Sacrifices were offered in order to please God and obtain His mercy. But when people turned away from God and continued in their own wicked ways, God was not pleased in their sacrifices. After Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross, the church is expected to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Our thanksgiving goes up as a sweet aroma to the Lord only if our bodies are presented as living sacrifices at the altar. Thanksgiving of a life that is not pleasing the Lord certainly cannot do any good. It is important to worship the Lord and giving thanks to Him, but it is much more important living it out.

Verse of the day: Revelation 12:10 For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Thought for the day: There are many out in the world and even within the church tormented by the devil even after they came out of their past sinful life. You say that now you are a child of God, but often get discouraged by the negative thoughts, blame and guilt of your past. The enemy is a liar. He will continue to do his job of accusing you. His aim is to make you ineffective by blaming you again and again quoting your past life. You need to come out of this bondage. You need to know about the devil, you need to know the Lord; you need to be of sure about your salvation, the purpose of God in your life, wear the armor of God, receive power from above, resist the devil and come out of the bondage before he completely deceives you.

Verse of the day: Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Thought for the day: Human heart weighs approximately 250 to 350 grams and is a little larger than the size of our fist. The average human heart, beating at 72 beats per minute, will beat approximately 2.5 billion times during an average 66 year lifespan. In fact, each day, the average heart beats 100,000 times, pumping about 2,000 gallons (7,571 liters) of blood. Heart is such an amazing little organ of our body. The blood has to be pure in terms of the proportion of its constituents, density, oxygen capacity, pH, etc. What is David talking about “clean heart”? How can the heart be unclean? How can anyone survive if the heart is unclean? According to Bible, those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man. Every heart beat that pumps blood into the blood stream also pumps these unclean stuff into the blood stream and the moment the blood reaches various parts of the body, they are all triggered to do evil. Is it not something serious that we need to worry about? We need our hearts to be purged and cleansed. There is no medicine or cure for this disease other than the forgiveness of our sins by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
