Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Ecclesiastes 9:8 Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.

Thought for the day: It is not just enough if our garment is kept white, we need to have enough oil applied on our head to continue to keep our garment clean. Anointing with oil is significant in consecration to a holy and sacred use. During Old Testament era, priests, kings and prophets were anointed and today, you and I are anointed for the same purpose. That means, once we are anointed by the Holy Spirit, we are separated and sanctified for holy use. How dare we are today to continue to keep in touch with the pleasures of this world. We may be young or old, if something is messing up our garment often; there is no doubt that our head lack oil. This is a dangerous situation to be in. We may be filled with the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, operate in the gifts of the Spirit, the questions we need to ask ourselves are, 1. Is our garment of salvation kept clean? Is the anointing of the Holy Spirit so heavy upon us daily?

Verse of the day: Ecclesiastes 9:8 Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.

Thought for the day: People don’t prefer to wear white garments unless it is really required. Wearing white requires additional caution as dirt can be easily seen. If we are not careful enough, white clothing can be easily stained. Dirt is easy to remove, but stain is not. Stain may even prevent you from using it further. Do you know that when you became a child of God, He clothed you with a white garment of salvation? It is your responsibility to keep your garment of salvation as white as it was given. Just have a look in the mirror to see the condition of your garment today. Dust it off, if found unclean. Wash it in the blood of Jesus, as He makes you white again. But remember, never allow your garment of salvation to be stained!

Verse of the day: Isaiah 54:2-3 Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited

Thought for the day: God prepares us before He does something in our lives. Every child of God who expects a supernatural breakthrough needs to understand this. Unless we are prepared, we will not be able to handle it when it happens. God said Noah to build the ark. He was doing it for hundred years. Everyday that was his duty from morning to evening. People mocked at him. But he never stopped. He knew that it was from God. A time of preparation can be as hard as this. Who else can be a model for a walk of faith on this land? If God has put a vision in your mind, keep on working towards it until you see it. You may not see it now, but it will appear soon. All that you need to do today is enlarge the place of your tent. You may see the tent empty today, but will be inhabited as the desolation among the cities is removed.

Verse of the day: Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Thought for the day: Some of the plants in the nursery need special protection from the weather conditions, insects and birds. These plants are so sensitive to the changing climatic conditions and easily get damaged if they are exposed. Some other plants attract bees and other insects and can get damaged easily. Specially designed shade nets and safety nets are used for protection. Some of us so love the Lord and walk closer to Him. But at times we are so fragile and tender in our relationship with the Lord. Easily we get carried away by the distractions that come along our way. God says, I will spread my protection over you so that you will be nurtured, protected and will flourish as you grow in Me.

Verse of the day: Psalm 115:15 May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Thought for the day: God has blessed all of us. Many times we may not even realize that we are blessed. We are blessed if we are able to move around and do what we need to do. We are blessed if we are free of any deadly diseases. We are blessed, if we are a happy little family. We are blessed, if we are not under any bondage. We are blessed if we have a job. Even if we don’t have any of the above blessings, we are still blessed because we have Christ living in us. If we say that we are going through sickness, poverty, bondages, disappointments and separation, still we are blessed because once we cross the river there is no more sorrow and we will be blessed forever.
