Thought for the day Archive

Verse of the day: Acts 12:5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

Thought for the day: We know the result of this prayer. The angel of the Lord came into the prison, a light shone in the prison, chains fell off his hands and the prison doors were opened. This is what can happen if the church decides to pray together. When such a corporate prayer is answered, not just the person alone, but the whole city will get to know the way the prayer was answered. Today, the flames of fire we see over few individuals, within few families and in few churches can turn into a violent forest fire when the church prays together. But remember, when the church fails to do that, darkness prevails everywhere, hands are chained and doors are closed.

Verse of the day: 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Thought for the day: When we fail to realize this fact that our God is greater than the ruler of this world, we feel that we are over powered by the enemy. The ungodly behavior of the world surprises us with the question of God’s existence. The flourishing of the wicked makes us to doubt the judgment of God. Never forget the fact that the whole world is under the control of the evil one until Jesus comes back to cast him into the bottomless pit. The only way to overcome the demonic influence on this earth is by acknowledging the greatness of God. Think about it, speak for it and live to it.
